Kimitoöns Serviceguide – Kemiönsaari Service Guide, a register of active companies and associations in Kimitoön.

Companies and associations included in the register have themselves requested to be listed and update their information either upon request or on their own initiative.

Personal data is published in the guide, for example in the case of sole traders, so that customers can find the services they need in Kimitoön. The data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

The register contains the following information: company or association name, language, type, Business ID, membership in the Federation of Finnish Enterprises, business sectors, contact details (phone number, email address, address), website URLs, and a description of the services offered.

The data is stored until the company or association requests its deletion or the controller is otherwise informed that the activity has ceased.

Regular Sources of Data

The data stored in the register is obtained from companies or associations via email, telephone, or entered by the company or association itself. Companies and associations are regularly asked to review and update their information.

Regular Disclosure and Transfer of Data Outside the EU or EEA

The data controller does not regularly disclose personal data to third parties. The information about companies and associations is publicly available to users of the service guide.

Principles of Data Protection

The register is handled with care and the data processed in information systems is appropriately protected. When data is stored on web servers, both physical and digital security of the hardware is ensured.

The controller ensures that stored data and access rights are handled confidentially and only by persons whose duties require it.

Right of Access and Right to Rectification

Each registered person has the right to check the data stored about them and request correction of incorrect or incomplete information. Requests must be submitted in writing to the controller (info@ksg.fi).

The controller may request verification of identity. Responses are provided within the time limits set by the GDPR (usually within one month).

Other Rights Related to the Processing of Personal Data

The data subject has the right to request deletion of their personal data (“right to be forgotten”). They also have other rights under the GDPR, such as restriction of processing in certain situations. Requests must be submitted in writing to the controller (info@ksg.fi).
